13:50 YATSENIUK: I'LL START NEW ROUND OF INDUSTRIALIZATION WHEN PRESIDENT
Kyiv, July 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the Front for Changes Arseniy Yatseniuk has stated that he will start his presidential term by pushing for the development of the nation's industrial sector. He said this in an interview for the Korrespondent weekly magazine, his press service reported on Friday. According to Yatseniuk, Ukrainian industry has not developed at all since the country won its independence 18 years ago. Yatseniuk said that expensive Russian gas must be replaced by cheap Ukrainian nuclear energy. Thus, more nuclear power plants must be built. Yatseniuk sees his second priority as the development of Ukrainian farming. He added that Ukraine should be a world leader in the agriculture sector. "The third goal is building up a healthy and educated population… We need to rebuild our education and healthcare systems. They must be free and good quality. Paid services should play additional roles," he said. As his fourth goal as a president, Yatseniuk sees the formation of a strong army.
