Kyiv, July 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – OJSC Vitaminy (Uman, Cherkasy region) in January to June 2009 cut its net losses by 17.3% or UAH 660,000 year-over-year, to UAH 3.179 million. According to a company report at the State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, its net income over the six months since the start of 2009 came to UAH 7.732 million, which is 2.4 times or UAH 4.54 million up on the previous year, while the company's gross profits jumped by 52.7% or UAH 480,000, to UAH 1.399 million. The company's net losses in April to June 2009 grew by 13.1% or by UAH 140,000, to UAH 1.21 million, and its net income soared by 19% or UAH 540,000, to UAH 3.38 million, and its gross profits went up by 43.7% or UAH 350,000, to UAH 1.15 million. In September 2008, Sopharma AD became the owner of a 99.5587% stake in OJSC Vitaminy, while earlier the company owned a 74.1383% stake. The company was set up in 1953. It produces over 50 types of medicines. | |
