Kyiv, July 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) - OJSC Ukrtransnafta, which has a monopoly in Ukraine in oil transportation, cut oil pumping by 4.6%, or by 960,400 tonnes, in January to June 2009 year over-year, to 20.074 million tonnes. As Interfax-Ukraine learned from the Oil shipments to Ukrainian oil refineries in January to June 2009 were 4.314 million tonnes, which was 11.6%, or 447,200 tonnes up on January to June 2008. The Druzhba main oil pipeline owned by Ukrtransnafta pumped 13.066 million tonnes over the period under review, which is 0.9% or 124,200 tonnes less year-over-year, while the Prydniprovsky main oil pipeline shipped 7.009 million tonnes, a fall of 10.7% or 836,200 tonnes year-over-year. As reported, Ukrtransnafta in 2008 cut oil shipments by around 19.4% or 9.878 million tonnes year-over-year, to 40.937 million tonnes. National JSC Naftogaz Ukrainy owns a 100% stockholding in Ukrtransnafta. | |
