Kyiv, July 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – CJSC Ukrtatnafta (the Kremenchuk oil refinery in Poltava region) has said that UTN-Vostok is violating its commitments under a license agreement signed between the organizations on the use of trademarks for goods and services, reads an Ukrtatnafta press release issued on Tuesday.

The release says that UTN-Vostok uses the Ukrtatnafta's trademark and does not mention that the trademark is used license; the company has not agreed on the increase of the number of outlets where the trademark is used, and independently selects objects and the conditions under which Ukrtatnafta's trademark is used.

The company noted that UTN-Vostok could use the Ukrtatnafta's trademark on the territory of 103 filling stations, according to an annex to the license agreement.

"However, UTN-Vostok is using Ukrtatnafta's trademark at another 15 filling stations," reads the report.

Ukrtatnafta said that UTN-Vostok says on its receipts that they are official dealers of the CJSC.

"The company claims that it did not give any rights and powers for dealer activities to UTN-Vostok," reads the report.

In addition, Ukrtatnafta says that UTN-Vostok does not provide the required quality of goods and services, and complaints by clients are evidence of this.

The CJSC also said that many complaints of UTN-Vostok fuel card owners were registered, as they had problems with their use or were not able to buy fuel using them.

Ukrtatnafta said that UTN-Vostok's actions are interpreted as unfair competition on the retail fuel market.

The company said that it fulfills its commitments on the bilateral agreement in full. It alsosaid that it was suspending the license agreement with UTN-Vostok for a certain period of time.
