Kyiv, July 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The net loss of Ukrprombank (Kyiv) in January to June 2009 was UAH 4.603 billion, while is net profit in 2008 was UAH 52.228 million, the bank has told the press.

In the second quarter of 2009 the bank's net loss was UAH 161.82 million, while in 2008 its net profit was UAH 26.424 million.

The bank's total assets in the first half of 2009 fell by 40.8%, to UAH 9.471 billion, and its total liabilities fell by 13.7%, to UAH 12.148 billion.

The bank's statutory capital in the period fell by 99.95%, to UAH 836,000.

Ukrprombank was set up in 1989. As of July 1, 2009, its key shareholders were ABS (34%), Naftovy Bank Ltd. (32%) and Ukrpromservice (34%).

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the bank ranked 18th in terms of total assets (UAH 9.83 billion) among the 182 banks operating in Ukraine as of April 1, 2009.
