Kyiv, July 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrgasbank (Kyiv) has agreed with the participants in a $23 million syndicated credit on its restructuring, according to the bank's press service. "As of July 28, 2009, all of the participants in the syndicated credit, including ING Bank N.V., Standard Bank Plc, AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft m.b.H., FBN Bank (UK) Ltd., National City Bank, VTB Bank (Deutschland) AG, and Ukreximbank, signed a term sheet regarding the restructuring of [Ukrgasbank's] foreign obligations," a press release reads. Ukrgasbank proposed to restructure the debt for three years, paying up to 20% of the debt when the term sheet is signed and making a quarterly payment of the debt principal starting from February 2010, the press release reads. Ukrgasbank also reached an understanding with the owners of large holdings of A, B and C series domestic bonds. Ukrgasbank was founded in 1993. Among its largest stockholders by April 1, 2009 were Financial and Investment Alliance Ltd. with 40.1975% and Ukrgazinvest Plus Ltd. with 19.0005%. The bank ranked 17th among the 182 operating banks in Ukraine in terms of overall assets, estimated at UAH 12.496 billion, as of April 1, 2009, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. | |
