Kyiv, July 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The state road service of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) plans to raise a UAH 2 billion credit from a state bank to finance construction of facilities linked to the hosting of the Euro 2012 European football championship, Ukravtodor Head Vadym Hurzhos has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"We're working on raising a UAH 2 billion credit to finance work to prepare for Euro 2012," he said.

He said that it is likely that the bank that would issue the credit would be Oschadbank.

Hurzhos said that the interest rate on the credit is expected at NBU's discount rate plus 1-2%.

The funds from the credit would be secured by the state and would be spent by the end of this year, he said.
