Kyiv, July 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The leading universities of Ukraine welcome the introduction of external independent testing of school leavers, President of the Kyiv Mohyla Academy Serhiy Kvit said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.

"We support this system. It definitely needs to be improved, but on the larger scale independent testing has decreased corruption in universities and allowed them to assess the real skills of school leavers," he said.

Kvit added that the secondary school graduates who got the largest number of points during the testing are applying to the leading universities of the country: the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Kyiv Mohyla Academy, Ivan Franko Lviv National University and Kyiv National Economic University.
