Kyiv, July 24 (Interfax) - Turboatom, one of Ukraine's largest producers of energy equipment, increased net profit 77.5% to UAH 51.04 million in the first half of 2009 compared to the same period of 2008, the company said in a report.

The company boosted net revenue 38.7% to UAH 322.53 million in the half. Gross profit totaled UAH 110.5 million, while operating revenue totaled UAH 77.28 million and sales revenue amounted to UAH 333.5 million.

Turboatom produced UAH 297.8 million worth of products in the period, up 54.4% from a year earlier. The company had planned to produce UAH 227.52 million worth of goods. Turboatom exported UAH 193.93 million worth of products, or 65.1% of total production.

Turboatom is one of the largest energy machinery producers in Ukraine and has a full production cycle.

The Ukrainian State Property Fund owns 75.224% of the company.

The official exchange rate on July 24 was UAH 7.663 /$1.
