Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers is considering cutting the ceiling prices of gas for six nitric mineral fertilizer producers, a well-informed source in the government has told Interfax-Ukraine. The source said that at a meeting of Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko with representatives of the chemical industry held on July 30, representatives of six nitric mineral fertilizer producers asked the premier to cut the prices of natural gas to $180-190 per thousand cubic meters. The premier agreed to consider a cut of the price to $205 per thousand cubic meters (UAH 1,578.32 according to the NBU exchange rate as of August 3, 2009). The source said that the premier also criticized the plant's representatives, accusing them of delaying wages. | |
