Kyiv, July 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian farmers have harvested 22 million tonnes of grain, Agrarian Policy Minister Yuriy Melnyk has said. "We have already harvested 22 million tonnes of grain crops," he told reporters in Kyiv on Tuesday. According to the minister, the share of bread grain has reached 36% (of the grain which has been delivered to certified storage facilities), whereas the share of bread grain in this year's grain harvest has been projected at 40%. He noted that the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry forecasts a 42-43 million tonne grain harvest for 2009. | |
