UKRAINE BANS PORK IMPORTS FROM LITHUANIA, DENMARK
Kyiv, July (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine has banned the import of pigs and pork
products from Lithuania
following an outbreak of swine fever in the country.
The state committee for veterinary medicine
of Ukraine said that Lithuania had detected the swine fever virus in
pigs imported to the country from Denmark.
Taking this into account, Ukraine has suspended the import of pork from Denmark as well, until all of the circumstances
of the swine fever outbreak in Lithuania
are clarified.
