Kyiv, July 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) on July 24 received the first of four new Boeing 737-800s on leasing terms, according to a press release of the company.

The airplane is equipped with modern engines, and has improved aerodynamic features that allow reduced fuel consumption and increased efficiency in the aircraft's operations.

As reported, the company is to get another Boeing 737-800 in September 2009 and two Boeing 737-800s in early 2010.

CJSC Ukraine International Airlines was founded in 1992. The company has 18 Boeing airplanes of various types: five Boeing 737-300s, six Boeing 737-400s, six Boeing 737-500s, and one Boeing 737-800.

The company's main airport is at Boryspil International Airport.
