16:03 TURBOATOM FINISHES SUPPLIES OF HYDRO TURBINES FOR INDIAN KOTESHVAR HYDRO POWER PLANT | |
Kyiv, July 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – OJSC Turboatom, Ukraine's large turbine producer, on July 29 finished the realization of a contract on production of hydro turbines for Koteshvar hydro power plant located in India signed in 2003. The plant supplied the first spare wheel and carried out controlling tests. The Turboatom's press service reported on Wednesday that the project on the construction of Koteshvar hydro power plant was realized jointly with India's BHEL. The value of the contract is not disclosed. As a part of the contract, Turboatom was designing a liquid end of the turbine, the basic blueprints of the turbine and the wheel. According to the plant's commitments, in 2004 the plant tested the models. Koteshvar hydro power plant is part of the Teri hydro-technical complex. Four turbines with the capacity of 102 MW produced at Turboatom were installed at the plant. Turboatom is one of the largest energy machinery producers in Ukraine and has a full production cycle. The Ukrainian State Property Fund owns 75.224% of the company. | |
