10:36 TUI TRAVEL REFUSES TO ACCOMMODATE UEFA DELEGATIONS IN SCM'S HOTELS DURING EURO 2012
Kyiv, July 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Britain's TUI Travel plc, the official operator for accommodation of guests and the Euro 2012 European football championship participants from UEFA, has refused to sign agreements with Donbas Palace Hotel in Donetsk and Opera Hotel in Kyiv, the Delo newspaper reported on Wednesday. According to the report, the decision of the travel agency is linked to the high prices in the above-mentioned hotels – EUR 800 per night. The leadership of the two hotels signed the agreements on the accommodation of Euro 2012 guests on May 8, although they have received neither positive nor negative answer from UEFA's leadership. The report says that such situation only involves the Donbas Palace Hotel and Opera Hotel, which belong to Donetsk-based System Capital Management (SCM), while other hotels in the hosting cities – Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv – have signed the agreements between the two sides.
