Kyiv, July 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The chairman of the Kyiv regional branch of the Regions Party, MP Yuriy Boiko, has called on the government to release information on the spending of funds allocated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the organization's press service told Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.

He said that the government should release "detailed information on the spending of loans already received from the IMF, and also make the Cabinet of Ministers' plans on spending the IMF's third tranche the common property of the people."

"I think the Ukrainian people have every right to know how the incumbent government is spending the IMF loan. In the end, the repayment of the loan will rest on the shoulders of our citizens. Therefore, they should clearly know what they're paying for – for the salvation of the Ukrainian economy or for unsuccessful attempts to prop up the election ratings of certain politicians?" he said.
