Kyiv, August 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – National JSC Naftogaz Ukrainy has finished the creation of Naftogaz Merezhi (Naftogaz Networks), to manage the state gas distribution pipelines currently operated by city and regional gas companies, reads the holding's press release issued on Wednesday.

"Thus, Gaz Ukrainy and Naftogaz merezhi would provide for stable and safety supply and transportation of natural gas to households, budget organizations and economic entities," reads the release.

Naftogaz deputy board chairman, Vitaliy Hnatushenko, was chosen the head of Naftogaz Merezhi.

"In addition, a working group headed by first deputy board chairman of the holding, Andriy Lopushansky on the introduction of mechanisms for the efficient realization of cabinet resolution No. 775 is functioning," reads the report.

As reported, the state gas distribution pipelines of 42 regional gas supply companies have been transferred to the balance sheet of a daughter company of National JSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, according to a cabinet resolution.

Cabinet resolution No. 775 of June 10 was posted on July 30, 2009 in the government's newspaper.

The resolution says that the pipelines were taken from OJSC Vinnytsiagaz, Volyngaz, Hadiachgaz, Dnipropetrovskgaz, Dniprogaz, Donetskgaz, Donetskoblgaz, Zhytomyrgaz, Zakarpatgaz, Zaporizhgaz, Ivano-Frankivskgaz, Kyivoblgaz, Kirovohradgaz, Korostyshevgaz, Kremenchukgaz, Kryvorizhgaz, Krymgaz, Lvivgaz, Luhanskgaz, Lybnygaz and Makiyivkagaz, Mariupolgaz, Melitopolgaz, Mykolaivgaz, Odesagaz, Poltavagaz, Rivnegaz, Sevastopolgaz, Sumygaz, Ternopilgaz, ternopilmiskgaz, Tismenitsagaz, Umangaz, Kharkivgaz, Khersongaz, Khmelnytskgaz, Chernivtsigaz, Cherkasygaz, Chernihivgaz, Shepetivkagaz, Kozovgaz and Kyiv-Svyatoshenegaz.

In addition, gas distribution pipelines that are on the balance sheets of Gaz Ukrainy, Ukrtransgaz, Ukrgazvydobuvannia and Chornomornaftogaz, are to be moved to a daughter company Naftogaz Ukrainy.
