Almaty, August 3 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The living wage in Kazakhstan made 12,948 tenge in July 2009, the state Statistics Agency said in a statement. This is 3.3% up compared to June 2009 and 2.1% more year-on-year. According to statistics, cost of foodstuffs in the subsistence wage made 7,769 tenge, nonfood goods and paid services - 5,179 tenge. Sustenance level for children under 13 in July was 10,160 tenge, teenage boys of 14-17 years of age -16,338, girls of the same age - 12,516 tenge, employable male -15,483 tenge, women - 12,293 tenge, retired and elderly people - 12,111 tenge. The population of Kazakhstan tops 15.8 million people. | |
