Kyiv, August 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – CJSC Lemma-Vite insurance company (Kharkiv) in January to June 2009 increased the collection of insurance premiums by 52% year-on-year, to UAH 6.889 million, according to a press release of the insurer. The share of long-term accumulative life insurance in the total amount of collected insurance premiums is 98%. As of June 30, the number of insured at Lemma-Vite was 21,400 persons, including 15,800 persons having personal accumulative funds. The total volume of insurance claim fee payments in the first half of 2009 was UAH 317,000, which was 29% up on the 2008 indicator. The company's insurance reserves grew by 38%, to UAH 45,305, and its assets are UAH 318.3 million. The net profit of the company in the period under review was UAH 6.5 million. Lemma-Vite insurance company was founded in 1999. Its core business is life insurance. Since 2004 the company has been providing long-term accumulative life insurance services. In November 2007 the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine permitted LEMMA insurance company (Kharkiv) to acquire over 50% of Lemma-Vite. The company's statutory capital is UAH 210 million. | |
