Kyiv August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – OJSC Khlibprom Concern (Lviv), one of the largest bread producers in Ukraine, has invested UAH 8.6 million into the modernization of two of its bakeries in Lviv, according to a press release of the company.

As part of the project to renovate the production lines of the two bakeries, equipment for the production of round wheat bread and long loaf was bought.

The new equipment is expected increase the capacity of the long loaf production line by 30%. The new lines will be launched this autumn. The concern did not announce their capacity.

OJSC Khlibprom is one of the largest bread producers in Ukraine and includes bakeries and centers of grain production in Lviv, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Cherkasy regions. Khlibprom's share of the domestic bread market as of late 2008 was estimated at 7.3%.
