Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The net profit of energy supply company OJSC Khersonoblenergo in January to June 2009 grew by 31.8% year-on-year, to UAH 28.772 million, according to the press service of VS Energy International Ukraine Ltd. (Kyiv).

The company's net income in the period under review rose by 19.2%, to UAH 447.373 million, and its total profit grew by 22.5%, to UAH 48.841 million.

As reported, the net profit of the company in 2008 was UAH 24.389 million, which was UAH 24.181 million up compared to 2007.

Khersonoblenergo operates the electricity grid in Kherson region.

VS Energy International N.V. (the Netherlands) owns a 94.51% stake in the company.
