Kyiv, July 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) - InterContinental Hotels Group is planning on August 22 to open the five-star InterContinental Kyiv hotel at 2-A, Velyka Zhytomyrska Street in Kyiv, InterContinental Kyiv has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"The hotel is to open on August 22," a source close to the project told the agency.

As reported, the eleven-storey hotel will have 272 rooms, seven of which will be suites. The area of a presidential suite will be 314 square meters, the area of the royal suite will be 212 square meters, the area of other suites 80 square meters, and the area of a luxury room 72 square meters.

A spa-center, fitness hall, swimming pool, laundry, business centre, and conference center with 800 seats will be located in the hotel.

The owner of the building is Yaroslaviv Val Ltd. (Kyiv). The company performed the construction work.

The hotel complex at 2-A, Velyka Zhytomyrska Street started in 2001. In 2003, its blueprints were approved, although they were reviewed in 2004 and 2005.
