Kyiv, July 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The net profit of OJSC Galnaftogaz (Lviv) in January to June 2009, according to Ukrainian accounting standards, was UAH 187.654 million, which was 35.1% up on the 2008 indicator, according to the company.

The company's net income in the first half of 2009 fell by 12.7%, to UAH 2.268 billion, while its total profit grew by 44.9%, to UAH 495.47 million.

The net profit of the company in the second quarter of 2009 dropped by 11.4% year-on-year, to UAH 102.63 million, and its net income fell by 10.8%, to UAH 1.268 billion, while its total profit rose by 18.5%, to UAH 233.5 million.

Galnaftogaz is part of the Universal Investment Group and is one of the largest owners of gas filling stations across Ukraine. It runs 291 filling stations, including 265 OKKO-branded ones in 21 regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and Kyiv. It also owns ten oil depots.
