Kyiv, July 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Shareholders in Kyiv-based CJSC Datagroup at a meeting scheduled for September 15, 2009 are to consider the joining of 11 it daughter companies to the operator, reads a report of Datagroup posted at the State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market. The company plans to joint CJSC Personal City Communications, Universal Telecom Ltd., Informsvyaz private company, Multichannel Radio Network private company, Client Services Ltd., Cable Network Ltd., Internet Partner Ltd. (all seven are part of Kyiv-based Citius Group), Rik private company (Kryvy Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region), Rivne Communications Technologies Ltd., Euro-Kvant Ltd. and Comservice (Simferopol, Crimea). The major part of the said companies, in particular, Citius Group, was acquired by Datagroup in 2008. Datagroup is one of the largest nongovernmental fixed communications operators in the country and provides satellite communications and data transfer services. In January to June 2009, the company's gross income soared by 17.5% from a year ago, to UAH 237 million, and its EBITDA swelled by 30%, to UAH 90 million. The key shareholder in Datagroup is the president of Octava Group, Oleksandr Kardakov. | |
