11:48 CRO RECOMMENDS DEFENSE MINISTRY LIQUIDATE VOYENTORHSERVICE
Kyiv, July 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the Main Control and Revision Office of Ukraine Mykola Syvulsky has recommended Acting Defense Minister Valeriy Ivaschenko liquidate the state-owned Voyentorhservice Concern. "I made a decision to recommend that the acting defense minister liquidate this group, because it's not doing what it should be doing," Syvulsky said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday. The Voyentorhservice Concern was formed in 2005 under a decree of the defense minister to save, effectively use and restore funds of state-owned companies that provide commercial, recreation and healthcare services. According to Syvulsky's information, an audit inspection at the concern has revealed the ineffective use of state funds. According to the CRO's information, the concern leased state property to private companies, which resulted in UAH 370,000 in losses to the state budget. Syvulsky added that he plans to recommend that the ministry transfer all of the company's property to the Department of Economic and Administrative Activities of the defense ministry.
