Kyiv, August 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyiv Economic Court on August 4 terminated proceedings in the case of the bankruptcy of National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom, as there are no claims by creditors against the company, the company’s press service reported on Wednesday. "The issue of a ruling by Kyiv Economic Court is a final victory for Energoatom's legal service over attempts to illegally acquire state assets," the press service said. Energoatom said that the case of the bankruptcy of Energoatom was opened in December 2003 by Kyiv Economic Court under an appeal of OJSC Donetskoblenergo. Later, the list of creditors was expanded by another 11 companies. Kyiv Economic Court on November 23, 2007 satisfied the appeal of creditors on the withdrawal of requirements for Energoatom and excluded them from the list. The case was closed on December 6, 2007. Later, the Supreme Court of Ukraine cancelled a ruling on the exclusion of VVD from the list of the companies and the case was sent for a repeated hearing in Kyiv Economic Court. | |
