Moscow, July 31 (Interfax-AVN) - The conversion rocket Dnepr has put six satellites into orbit, Alexander Vovk, the head of the RVSN information service, has told Interfax. The satellites are DubaiSat-1, Deimos 1, UK-DMC 2, Nanosat 1B, AprizeSat 3, and AprizeSat 4, said Vovk. Alexander Serkin, an official with the company Kosmotras, has told Interfax that all satellites have been put into their target orbits and have been placed into the client companies' management. The conversion rocket Dnepr was launched from the cosmodrome Baikonur at 10:46 p.m. on Wednesday. The rocket was created on the basis of the intercontinental ballistic rocket RC-20 (SS-18 Satan). This rocket is the heaviest liquid intercontinental ballistic rocket in the world (its mass is over 200 tonnes). | |
