Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The shareholders of BTA Bank (Kyiv) at a general meeting on August 3 altered the membership of the bank's supervisory council, according to the bank. Included on the supervisory council were MP Invest representative Yevhen Davydovych (the supervisory council head) and bank shareholder Oleksiy Didkovsky (a supervisory council member). Excluded from the supervisory council were MP Invest representative Khalilia Kamalova, Afina Trade Ltd. representative Anuara Aizhulova, Jupiter Trade's Dmytro Hladkov, and Absolute Investment's Mukhamedkali Ospanova. The bank did not comment on the changes. Kyiv-based BTA Bank was founded in 1992. As of April 1, 2009, among the bank's largest stockholders was BTA Bank of Kazakhstan with 49.9883%, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU). Later in April 2009, Kyiv's BTA Bank said that the Kazakh BTA Bank had reduced its stake in the Ukrainian bank's statutory capital to 9.9975%. Kyiv-based BTA Bank was 51st among the 182 operating banks in Ukraine as of April 1, 2009, in terms of overall assets, estimated at UAH 2.735 billion, the NBU said. | |
