Kyiv, July 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Bonduelle group of companies, the world's largest player on the canned and frozen vegetable market, is to build a factory in Cherkasy region to produce canned maize, peas and frozen vegetables.

The project was discussed at a meeting of Cherkasy governor Oleksandr Cherevko and Bonduelle's management on July 24, 2009, Cherkasy regional administration's press service reported.

The source did not disclose other details.

Bonduelle, founded in 1853, as a small farm in the north of France, is currently the leading international producer of processed vegetables. It runs 28 factories.
