Kyiv, July 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Bank Bazis (Kharkiv) is intending to boost statutory capital by 21%, to UAH 87.4 million through an additional issue of shares, the bank has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to a bank representative, the bank's shareholders will view the issue on increasing the bank's statutory capital at a general meeting on September 15.

The bank plans to perform an additional issue and closed placement of shares with a face value of UAH 1.28 from November 10 until November 26, 2009.

Bank Bazis was founded in 1991. As of April 1, 2009, its major shareholders were JSC Investor (41.617%), Investor-Fund Ltd. (51.7867%), while its major beneficiaries were Arsen Avakov, Hennadiy Hayevy, Ihor Morkotonov, and Andriy Pereyedenko.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of April 1, 2009, in terms of total assets (UAH 1.181 billion) Bank Bazis ranked 75th among the 182 operating banks in Ukraine.
