The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has allowed Hosta International AG (Switzerland) to purchase over 50% in the Ivano-Frankivsk-based Lasoschi confectionary.

AMCU press service disclosed this to Ukrainian News.

According to the report, the Hosta International holding company has no business in Ukraine.

The company controls a number of enterprises in Europe, including the Polish Wawel SA confectionary.

Lasoschi is registered as an opened joint-stock company.

As of January 2007, 24.79% in Lasoschi belonged to Halplast+ company, 24.82%, to Techno-Center+, 13.94%, to Ahrotsentr Trade House (all based in Ivano-Frankivsk region).
