Kyiv, August 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Zaporizhia-based OJSC Semiconductor Plant has taken a non-renewable multi-currency credit line equivalent to EUR 121.23 million from OJSC State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine (Ukreximbank), the company has reported via the State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market.

The credit agreement was signed on July 17.

The interest rate for funds borrowed in euros and U.S. dollars is 13.5%, while that for the national currency is 22% per annum.

The credit is to be paid back on March 1, 2017. The first UAH 11.868 million tranche was issued on July 28.

The funds are being raised to finance an investment project for the creation of modern trichlorosilane, polysilicon and monosilicon production facilities.

OJSC Semiconductor Plant was created in January 2002 through its separation from communal enterprise Zaporizhia titaniferous magnetite combine. The enterprise produces monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, epitaxial structures, and trichlorosilane.
