Kyiv, July 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko is likely to veto the laws on the presidential election and the recapitalization of banks, Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn has said.

"I'm sure [the law on presidential election] will be vetoed [by the president]," Lytvyn said on Friday.

The speaker said that the president has firm grounds to veto the law, as it contains "illegal schemes."

Speaking about the bill on recapitalization of banks, the speaker said that the parliament's legal department has a lot of questions about the document. The president might veto this law as well, Lytvyn said.
