XXI CENTURY HOPES TO ATTRACT INVESTORS TO FINANCE FOUR OR FIVE HOUSING AND COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE PROJECTS BY 2010

Kyiv, July 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyiv-based XXI Century developing company has expressed hope that by the end of the current year the company will attract strategic investors to finance two premium class housing projects and two or three commercial real estate projects, according to the company's director general, Heorhiy Tsahareishvili.

"The company is looking for strategic partners to realize certain projects. We have two projects in the premium class housing segment and two or three projects in the commercial real estate segment," he told the press at a press lunch in Kyiv on Tuesday.

He did not disclose the sums to be raised or the names of the companies with which the company is in talks, adding that they are Ukrainian and foreign investors.

In turn, the head of the department for relations with investors, Olena Osmolovska, said that talks are being held with developers, financial investors and people with private capital.

Tsahareishvili said that top-priority projects in the commercial real estate sector are three trade centers in Kyiv, Sevastopol and Lviv, the realization of which has been suspended due to the crisis.

He said that XXI Century would not start building the centers without raising funds first.

He also said that the company retains its plans to sell non-profile projects, in particular, logistics projects.
