Yerevan. July 29 (Interfax) - The World Bank forecast that Armenia's GDP will decrease by 9%-11% while inflation will go be below 3%, Aristomene Varoudakis, the World Bank's representative in Yerevan, told journalists on Wednesday. In the first half of 2009, GDP dropped by 16.3%. Varoudakis said that Armenia's economy has been stabilizing while inflation decreases owing to external factors. He added that the recovery of the Armenian economy would be very gradual next year. It was earlier reported that the Central Bank of Armenia put the country's economic decline for 2009 at 5.8%. At the start of June, deputy CB chairman Vache Gabrielyan produced a GDP forecast with a decline of 7%-8%. At the end of June, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) worsened its forecast, increasing the GDP decline from 5% to 9.5%.
