Kyiv, August 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A decision on the further activity of Ukrprombank (Kyiv) should be made as soon as possible, Ukrprombank Temporary Administrator Kostiantyn Rayevsky has said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia newspaper.

According to Rayevsky, the best solution from the point of view of observing the interests of all depositors, clients and creditors would be the bank's additional capitalization with the purpose of restoring its normal activity.

"This would be the most rational decision, including in terms of the interests of the state. The funds the state should pay to the bank's depositors from the Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund will be enough to renew Ukrprombank's activity. But if the state gets assets, it becomes the owner of a large systemic bank and will fully recover the money it spends when the bank is sold," Rayevsky said.
