Kyiv, August 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Service of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) is intending to open an orbital road around Chernivtsi by the end of 2009, the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry has reported.

Currently earth-retaining structures to prevent landslides are being constructed at a bridge.

"This work will be completed by fall. After that we will need to lay asphalt on the road," the press service said citing Ivan Muntian, the head of the automobile road service in Chernivtsi region.
