Kyiv, August 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the reports about the hospitalization of four Ukrainian women infected with the A/H1N1 influenza virus in France.

"According to Ukraine's Embassy in France, four Ukrainian citizens diagnosed A/H1N1 virus are currently undergoing treatment in hospital in the department of Isere," Interfax-Ukraine learned at the Foreign Ministry's press service.

According to the doctors, all the patients are in satisfactory condition. They are likely to be discharged from hospital by the end of the week.

The Ukrainian Embassy in France continues monitoring the epidemiological situation in the country, the Foreign Ministry said.

As reported, four Ukrainian women were hospitalized in France after being diagnosed the A/H1N1 influenza virus, also known as swine flu.

The Ukrainians arrived at the French monastery Notre Dame de la Salette on July 31 and were scheduled to return to Ukraine on August 31.
