Kyiv, July 29 (Interfax) - Ukraine will fully meet its duty to buy back 768 million Swiss francs in eurobonds ($710 million) issued in 2006 following the implementation of preterm put-option by the bond's holders, Ukraine's Acting Finance Minister Ihor Umansky told journalists in Kyiv on Wednesday.

"Restructuring is not being considered. We will make a buyback," he said.

The Finance Ministry told Interfax that the term to buy back the eurobonds comes into implementation on September 15, 2009.

It was earlier reported that the Ukrainian government placed 384 million Swiss francs in 12-year eurobonds in mid-September 2006. The issue had an offer for preterm redemption within three years at a discount of 2.6% and a semiannual interest payment (September 15 and March 15) at 3.5%.

In December of that year, the total issue was doubled.
