Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) - UDC Holding, part of Universal Investment Group (both based in Kyiv), is planning to construct the Symphony business center in Yaroslaviv Val Street in Kyiv in the format of a Green Building, UDC Holding Director General Leonid Bohdanov said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

The Green Building format means a building is fully constructed using energy-saving technologies.

Due to the change in the building format, the cost of construction will grow by 10-15% compared to the planned $12 million, to $13.2-13.8 million.

"This will be the first Green Building in Ukraine. Its costs will exceed the planned $12 million by 10-15%, but will allow end consumers to pay three times less for utility services," Bohdanov said.

Construction will start in 2010 and will be completed by late 2011.

The total area of the ten-storey building with a small restaurant on the top floor will be about 10,000 square meters. The business center will have offices with an area of 250 to 475 square meters.

UDC Holding is part of Universal Investment Group and includes companies operating in the construction sphere.
