Kyiv, August 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Some UAH 70 million will be spent on preparing for and hosting the Independence Day Parade in Ukraine, Head of the General Staff Serhiy Kyrychenko said on Thursday.

He added that the sum is the same as last year. The money will be spent not only on the parade itself, but also on the preparation of a fly past and support for other groups representing the Army and Navy Forces participating in the parade.

"The people who say the money will be wasted are wrong," Kyrychenko said.
