ROSAVA TO BUY TEN VULCANIZING HEATERS WORTH UAH 20 M FROM HARBURG FREUDENBERGER

Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – CJSC Rosava (Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region), the largest tire producer in Ukraine, plans to buy ten vulcanizing heaters worth UAH 20 million from Harburg Freudenberger, the company's press service has told Interfax-Ukraine.

The press service said that the capacity of the equipment is around 500,000 tires per year. The vulcanizing heaters would be delivered within three months and would be installed next year.

As reported, Rosava in 2008 saw its net income rise by 8.7% compared to 2007, to UAH 1.76 billion.

The company's total loss last year was UAH 38.667 million, while in 2007 its total profit was UAH 66.218 million.

CJSC Rosava was founded in January 1999 by OJSC Rosava and Ireland's Tapistron Ltd., representing Russian tire holding Amtel.

According to the State Commission on Securities and the Stock Market, CJSC Rosava's largest shareholders as of September 2007 were the Interregional Transport Company with 12.25%, Naftokhimimpex with 12.25%, Ukrtekhvuhlerod with 12.12%, and OJSC Rosava with 11.95%. UkrSibbank is the nominal holder of a 38.04% stake.

The production capacity of the company is six million tires a year.

CJSC Rosava sells nearly 50% of its products on the Ukrainian market, exports 27.6% to Russia, 13.5% to CIS countries, and 8.7% to countries outside the region.
