Kyiv, July 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The net loss of Rodovid Bank (Kyiv) in January to June 2009 was UAH 1.511 billion, while its net profit over the same period last year was UAH 54.889 million, according to the bank.

The bank's net loss in the second quarter of 2009 was UAH 1.512 billion, while in the same period in 2008 its net profit was UAH 24.313 million.

The bank's total assets in the first half of 2009 fell by 33.8%, to UAH 8.73 billion, while its total liabilities dropped by 24.6%, to UAH 8.942 billion.

The bank's statutory capital in the period fell from UAH 435 million to UAH 783,000.

Rodovid Bank, formerly Personal Computer, was founded in 1990. As of April 1, 2009, the major shareholder in the bank was RB Capital Group Ltd. (76.7798%).

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of April 1, 2009, Rodovid Bank ranked 20th among the 182 operating banks in Ukraine in terms of total assets (UAH 10.988 billion).
