Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The average price of premium class housing in Kyiv in hryvnias in July 2009 fell by 3.8% compared to June, to UAH 27,093 per square meter, according to a press release of the Stolychna Nerukhomist (Capital Real Estate) information and analytical portal.

The data came from an analysis by the portal's experts of 144 newly built apartment blocks in Kyiv constructed by a total of 71 companies with commissioning terms of until the fourth quarter of 2010.

According to the portal, the average price per square meter in one-room flats in premium class housing in July fell by 4.6%, to UAH 25,975, in two-room flats by 6.5%, to UAH 26,243, in three-room flats by 4.6%, to UAH 27,625, and in four-room flats by 1.3%, to UAH 27,549.

According to the press release, the average price per square meter of economy class primary housing for the period under review fell by 0.2% and was UAH 10,233, while for business class housing the increase was 1%, to UAH 15,469.

The average price of a square meter of premium class housing from July 2008 until July 2009 grew by 15.2%, business class housing by 3.3%, and the price of economy class housing fell by 5.8%.
