Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the PL.2012 Union Marcin Herra, who is coordinating Poland's preparations for the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, has said that Ukraine has made progress at all of its infrastructure projects in the context of the country's preparations for hosting the championship, the Ukraine 2012 Information Center reported on Tuesday. Herra made a tour of the Ukrainian cities preparing for the tournament, reads the statement. "We have had a chance to examine the preparatory work being done in Lviv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kyiv, using various types of transport during our visit. This allowed us to see the impressive devotion of Ukrainians to Euro [2012] preparations and their desire to make progress in each city," he said. Herra said that significant results had been achieved in the construction of stadiums. He said that stadiums in Donetsk and Kharkiv were nearly complete, and added that the construction of the stadium in Kyiv was underway, and that the construction of a stadium in Lviv had started. | |
