Kyiv, August 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Petrus Holding Company, the vodka producers under the Zlatohor trademark, and the Gamma Group would become investors into Kyiv-based Arma Bank, the bank's temporary administrator, Oleksandr Dovhopoliuk, has said.

"The first investor is the Petrus Group, which core business is alcohol, confectionary production, food imports, cosmetics and construction. The second one is the Gamma Group, in particular, Gamma-Consulting. The company is engaged into the telecommunications business and advocacy. The group includes a newspaper and a television and radio broadcasting company," he said in an interview with the Kommersant-Ukraine newspaper.

He said that Petrus would increased the bank's statutory capital so to receive control over 75% plus one share of the bank, while Gamma would issues a subordinated credit to the bank: a first tranche of UAH 40 million is being registered at the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) and the increase of the bank's statutory fund by UAH 50 million is being prepared.

The newspaper said that Gamma Group is affiliated with the son of the leader of Communist Party of Ukraine, Andriy Symonenko.

The Petrus holding unites a group of trade and industrial companies in various businesses: alcoholic drinks, confectionaries, agricultural production, customs and warehouse services, alcohol, skin-care products and make-up, foodstuffs, vehicle distribution, and investment projects for the construction of commercial and housing real estate.

Arma Bank was established in 2003. As of April 1, 2009 among largest participants in Arma was Stakhanov-based Almazniansky foundry and mechanical plant with 99.72%.

As of April 1, 2009, Arma Bank ranked 113th (UAH 535 million) in terms of total assets among 182 operating Ukrainian banks.
