Kyiv, July 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The net losses of Kyiv-based OTP Bank in January to June 2009 came to UAH 565.334 million, while in H1, 2009 the bank enjoyed UAH 108.359 million in net profit, the bank has reported in the mass media.

The net losses in Q2, 2009 totaled UAH 353.566 million (the net losses in Q1, 2009 were estimated at UAH 211.768 million), while in Q2, 2008 its net profit stood at UAH 21.089 million.

The bank's total assets in H1, 2009 shrank by 11.8%, to UAH 29.733 billion, while its total commitments went down by 11%, to UAH 27.801 billion.

Its statutory capital in H1, 2009 remained unchanged at UAH 2.068 billion.

CJSC OTP Bank, earlier Raiffeisenbank Ukraine, was founded in 1998. As of July 1, 2009, the only shareholder in the bank was Hungary's OTP Bank.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, Kyiv-based OTP bank was the eighth largest bank in Ukraine in terms of assets (UAH 30.981 billion) as of April 1, 2009.
