Kyiv, July 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) - CJSC Odesa cognac plant, one of the largest cognac producers in Ukraine, in January to June 2009 saw a net profit of UAH 10.446 million, which was 30% down year-on-year, according to the financial report of the company The company's net sales income for the period grew by 2.5 times, to UAH 247.682 million. The net profit of the company in April-June 2009 was UAH 3.533, which was 64% down compared to 2008. Its net sales income doubled, to UAH 167.12 million. Odesa cognac plant has been in business since 1863. It was reorganized into a closed joint-stock company in December 2002. In 2008, the plant produced 710,700 decaliters of cognac, while in 2007 it produced over 708,000 decaliters. In 2008, its net profit was UAH 1.088 million, while it had a net loss of UAH 12 million in 2007. Since 2007, CJSC Odesa cognac plant has been part of Global Spirits AMG-77 Limited holding. | |
