Kyiv, July 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Mykolaiv-based Nibulon Agricultural Limited Liability Company, a large Ukrainian farm producer and exporter, has launched the construction of a grain handling and storage facility in Poltava region.

Investment in the project is estimated at UAH 70 million, the company said in a press release.

The complex will occupy 4.95 hectares. Its capacity will be 66,000 tonnes of grain or oil-yielding crops. The capacity of its drying machines is 4,000 tonnes per 24 hours and that of equipment for grain handling and shipment onto railway cars is 5,000 tonnes per 24 hours.

The construction of the grain elevators is to be completed by October 2009.

Nibulon runs the Reshytylivsky grain elevators and its Sukhorabovska subdivision.

The construction of a new grain elevator is part of the project for the commissioning of seven grain elevators and river terminals whose overall storage capacity will be 300,000 tonnes of grain, as well as the construction of 24 barges and 14 maritime and river tug boats.

Nibulon was set up in 1991. It has 36 production subdivisions in 10 Ukrainian regions. It also owns a grain transshipment terminal in the city of Mykolaiv and is a stockholder in 15 grain elevators.

Nibulon cultivates about 70,000 hectares of agricultural land.
