Kyiv, July 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The net profit in January to June 2009 of Kyiv-based ING Bank Ukraine, part of ING Group, came to UAH 92.686 million, which is 9.6% up year-over-year (UAH 84.6 million).

The bank reported in the mass media that its net profit in Q2, 2009 totaled UAH 87.218 million (in Q1, 2009 it was estimated at UAH 5.468 million), which is 2.4 times up year-over-year (UAH 36.492 million).

The bank's total assets in H1, 2009 shrank by 13.1%, to UAH 8.259 billion, and its total liabilities went down by 20.3%, to UAH 6.11 billion. The bank's statutory capital jumped 2.4 times, to UAH 731.298 million.

ING Bank Ukraine was founded in 1997. A 100% stockholding in the bank belongs to ING Bank NV.
